Last time it effected a little of everything, with tingling and numbness being the predominant problems, but this time it's mostly effecting the left side of my body. My left arm and leg are weak and not responding well to the things my brain tells them to do. So I'm walking with a cane and of course, everyone at work wants to know why. I've been telling them that it's old age.
Nobody accepts my answer as a valid reason, and very few people actually take it as a cue to mind their own business. I told one of the courtesy clerks that I got a cane so I could whack him with it when he was getting on my nerves, and everyone thought this was a genius idea. Another courtesy clerk figured me out, and approached me asking, "What, do you have MS or something?" He's older and apparently his wife has MS.
It's not that I don't want people to know I have MS, I just don't want to tell each of them individually, and I sure don't want to do it in passing. Enough people know that eventually they'll all either hear it through the grapevine or get used to seeing me as a gimp.
Anyway, I'm rambling. My brain is still scrambled, so I'm afraid that what I'm typing is really not making sense, so I'll go read "Wicked" (which I found at the library when I called in sick on Saturday) and go to bed.
Night all!
