Also, I learned today that my mother is taking in my sister's cat, since she's moving and won't be allowed pets at her new place. This really kind of pisses me off, since my cat is pretty much guaranteed to not get along with him, and I'll end up having to feed two cats instead of one and scoop the litter of two cats instead of one. My sister has told me before that her cat is a pig and will pretty much eat everything in sight, so even if I keep Vicious's food separate from his, I don't know where I would put it that he wouldn't be able to find it and eat it before she gets to it. The only option would be to lock Vicious (and her food) in my bedroom all the time, or just lock her food in here and not let her eat unless I'm home and can monitor it. That seems a little ridiculous.
I am of the belief that if you have a pet, you have that pet for life. When you move, you find somewhere that will allow it. That's part of the reason I ended up back here at mom's house to begin with. If I'd been willing to get rid of Vicious, I probably could have stayed with someone until I got back on my feet in Seattle.
Maybe I just need to stop whining.
