I am still a slacker. A very symptomatic slacker. I've been experiencing little hints and reminders of last year's attack. I will have moments where my left leg and arm are weak and feel like lead and refuse to move properly; my hands tingle at inexplicable moments; my balance has been questionable; the L'Hermitte's Sign makes appearances so fleeting that it leaves me wondering if it wasn't just my imagination; but the most prominent symptom of all is the fatigue.
I sleep 10-12 hours a night and need a nap four hours after I get out of bed. Just leaving the house for an hour exhausts me and leaves me unable to perform any considerable brain function. I get home from work and spend the rest of the evening in a vegetative state, watching TV or staring mindlessly at the computer screen, answering instant message conversations with vague "yeah"s, and "I know what you mean"s. So please do not think that I have lost interest in this blog. I just don't have the energy to put together anything worth reading.
I am bartending an old DBC customer's wedding reception tonight, and after only 7 hours of sleep I hope that it is not painfully obvious to all of their guests that I have not been behind a bar in almost a year.
Even now I'm fading, and I still need to shower, dress, and make myself up before I leave for the reception hall in two hours. Wish me luck.
