The sale on our house finally went through, so now my mom has $20,000 or $30,000 just burning a hole in her pocket.
Considering that she has no job and seems to have no intentions to get one, I'm sure this money will be entirely wasted on things like bills and renting back the house for twice as much as she was paying the mortgage company. Oh, and let's not forget booze and her idiot boyfriend. Even though he makes as much in a week as I do in a month, I'm sure that he'll once again become a selfish free-loading bastard and take full advantage of my mom's generosity.
Speaking of her generosity, she woke me up this morning after I worked until 11:00 last night, and she wanted me to go out to breakfast with her. I thought it would be nice to spend some time with her, so I got up and got dressed. And after I was dressed and ready to go, she casually mentioned that idiot boyfriend was going to go, too. Do you know how pissed I was?
She knows I can't stand him, why would she think that I want her to wake me up early so I can spend an hour eating breakfast with him? And why would she think that I want to drive them both around? He drove right past me I don't know how many times when I was walking to work and he was going the same direction. There's no way I'm doing him any favors.
On top of it, work is trying to screw me out of four hours. I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's the difference between a $160 paycheck and a $220 paycheck.
I was supposed to continue my training in the office tonight, but the supervisor that I'm supposed to work with has to attend a funeral, so management is trying to force me to take the night off since I've already worked five days this week.
Last night, two of the supervisors looked at the schedule and decided that instead of bringing me in for training I wouldn't get, they would have me work in video and the person scheduled to work video would work as a checker. This solution worked for me. I wouldn't lose any hours, and I would get more practice in video.
When I got home last night there was a message on my answering machine asking if I 'wanted' to take tonight off. When I called today and told them what the other supervisors had decided, they explained to me how they had already fixed the understaffing and would rather 'save' my training hours for next week. The schedule is already out for next week, and there's no room for training. The manager is trying to make it sound like it's my decision, but I know they aren't giving me a choice.
The next three movies I will be watching, courtesy of Netflix: The same three movies from my last post that I'm too lazy to copy and paste.
