I just signed up for
Blogger Mobile because I'm all about the blog accessories. I'm excited that there are so many options for so many different media. Now, in addition to my occasional
Audioblogger posts, I have the capability to upload photos directly from my camera phone to my blog, as I did with the photo above (this text was added after the picture was uploaded)! I already have an account with
Yafro, but it just seems so much tidier to have it all in once place.
Since we're talking about the various features of my blog, I should point out that I put up a
Blogarithm subscription sticker. I don't update like clockwork, and I'm sure that many of you lead busy lives and have better things to do than try to guess when I've found something worthwhile to say, so this might be a useful to you. If you enter your email address it will send you a notification when I
do update (you have to confirm your subscription first). Also, after you sign up with a password, you can log in to your account and subscribe to any website you like. I love this, because I have a lot of blogs that I read (see all of the links at the left!) but not all of them post regularly. Some post three times a day, some don't put up anything new for a week or two. With Blogarithms I receive an email every day at 1:00 A.M. telling me which of my subscribed blogs have been updated.
I put up a flash application awhile ago that links to my aforementioned
Yafro photos. If you move your mouse over the thumbnails they scroll up and down like a film reel, and if you click on one of them it will load that photo. It only shows the ones I upload as publicly viewable, but I have a lot of pictures that are listed as friends only. If you want to see the friends-only pictures, sign up for an account on yafro and leave me a note here telling me your username so I can add you to my friends list.
I add links to the sidebar pretty often, mostly when I discover a website that I enjoy enough to want to read it all the time and share it with others. They are in alphabetical order (except for Kevin), so I realize that it may make it difficult to immediately discern which ones are new and which have always been there. I'll try to remember to start writing
"!!NEW!!" after them, or changing the text color to red for a couple weeks. I'll try to do
something to set them apart.
